Conference Overview

The APRA Conference and Expo is held annually and brings together parks, recreation, conservation and open space professionals, users and those with business interests. The conference is the premier opportunity in the state for this community to come together to communicate and experience an inspirational and education conference.

The conference includes a wide variety of educational sessions covering a broad range of issues on a local, state and national level. We will host prominent speakers, exhibit hall, informative and interactive workshops, tours, socials, golf tournament and much more.

Join our many sponsors and exhibitors in networking with the statewide parks and recreation community and maximize your visibility and message. This is the premier opportunity to display your state-of-the-art products and services, provide demonstrations, show off your projects and programs, and talk with the decision makers in your target market. APRA’s exhibit hall will be located in a large exhibition facility in the heart of downtown Phoenix, The Sheraton Grand. 


Attendees consist of parks, recreation and open space professionals, volunteers, board and commission members, government officials, managers, administrators, trails and park users, company/industry representative, athletic directors, and anyone interested in our profession. Our conference draws 500+ attendees, 80+ booths in the exhibit hall, and nearly 100 volunteers.


You are vital to keeping our conference delegates aware and informed of the cutting edge technology, products and services that keep them efficient and effective in their everyday work.  Contact our Exhibit Hall Chair to secure your booth space for the largest show of its kind for parks and recreation professionals in the state of Arizona.

Swag Bags and Giveaways

Each year our conference delegates receive a bag full of information and goodies, if you would like to donate pens or other tangible advertising items to be include in the delegate bags please let Linda Ayres or Samantha Coffman know before July 22nd. All items will need to be sent to the APRA Office no later than July 27th to be included in the conference bags.

If you would like to donate an item for the exhibit hall raffle please let the Exhibit Hall Chair know what you will be providing.

Registration and Payments

All booth space registrations will be taken on-line on the APRA website. Payment in full at the time of booking is required. A registration code is required, please contact the Exhibit Hall Chair to obtain this code. 

Reverse Trade Show

We will be offering again this year a Reverse Trade Show where vendors are invited to interact exclusively with the procurement personal/directors from local municipalities and school districts. 

In cooperation with Mohave Cooperative Purchasing this will be a "speed dating" type event where decision makers will be invited to showcase upcoming list of projects to you the vendor, if you feel there are areas where your company can bid at that time you would exchange information to set up a future meeting to further discuss. Learn how to get registered with the different agencies to receive notice of their upcoming bids and maximize your marketing efforts at this networking event.

Annual APRA Golf Tournament

An added chance for vendors to interact with Directors and staff is by participating in the Golf Tournament. This years event will be taking place on Tuesday morning August, 8th shotgun start at 7:00 AM. Cost is $85 per player. More details can be found on the Golf page.

Please contact the exhibit hall chair via email noting the booth spaces you are interested in reserving along with an optional back up if your first choice is not open. 
After  reviewing the space availability you will receive a special code that will allow you to complete registration. 
Your booth space is not confirmed until payment has been received.

*Please be sure to click on the link above for directions on the special load in/out and use of freight elevator and times the elevator will be operating, they are different from the set up times.
The Sheraton does not have storage so you must either keep items in your booth or take off site after your booth is set up.

Extend your brand! APRA has great opportunities for companies looking to extend their visibility at conference and throughout the year.  We offer custom packages that will fit your organizational needs that include sponsoring an event or item.

This year have lower sponsorship levels if you want to help support the annual conference but are not able to attend or have an exhibit booth, as well as higher sponsorship levels that provide more promotion and recognition for your business or organization.

What is NOT included in your registration?

Awards Banquet Tickets, Wednesday Social, Audio Visual, Wi-Fi or Power. 

Refund and Cancellation Policy  

We understand there will be a rare occasion when a vendor or sponsor will be required to cancel. Cancellations prior to May 1, 2016 will receive a refund for half of the original booth space fee only. After May 1, 2016 APRA will no longer issue refunds as the committee has invested significant time and resources in the events and programs. 

Early Tear Downs

Vendors are expected to have their booth space set-up and open for time the exhibit hall is open each day. Anyone tearing down their booth down early will be fined $200.00 - no exceptions!


Unauthorized Housing Agents

Please be vigilant if approached by any company or service that implies or claims to be an official housing provider of the APRA Conference and Expo. We have been made aware of housing companies or travel agencies that may aggressively pursue you, or your company/agency, to book your guest rooms at significant discounts.  Reservations made through these "pirate" agencies or companies should be avoided as many of them are scams that will charge your card, but you will not have a reservation when you arrive.  If you are contacted by anyone who says they are working on behalf of APRA, please get their company information/phone number and notify us immediately at scoffman@azpra.org
