Serious Cuts to Park and Recreation Funding in Proposed Budget

Last week, President Trump released his budget blueprint for fiscal year 2018. To redirect funding to other priorities, the president has suggested deep cuts and even elimination of federal programs that support local parks and recreation. In a statement, NRPA President and CEO, Barbara Tulipane, expressed our disappointment in the suggested cuts as they threaten key environmental and community programs.
