It's a virtual conference event, with the power to bring the Statewide Planning Conference to the parks and recreation community. No matter where you are you can join us online for a curated collection of the most relevant content for our industry.
What Is a Virtual Conference?
It's a mix between a professional in-person conference, a webinar and an online course. While the latter two usually cover a more narrow subject matter, an online conference can cover a broad range of subjects, allowing attendees to find sessions that suit their individual professional growth needs and earn continuing education credits for professionals who need them to maintain certifications.
Until recently, virtual conference were primarily focused on professionals in the tech, blogging, or content marketing fields. Private companies or individuals would host them for people in the industry, but attendees were often not connected outside the conference, and social or networking events were rare.
Since in-person events are currently on pause, professional conferences spanning innumerable industries, have incorporated a virtual platform with great success. Like an in-person conference, a virtual conference offers a combination of keynote speakers, discussion panels, educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and socializing with colleagues.

Bonus! Session recordings will be available after the education sessions have ended. All attendees will continue to have access to the recording of each and every session for 60 days after the conference.
How to participate:
APRA will use the Swapcard platform for our virtual event. Participants will use the links on the APRA website to register no later than August 3, 2020. Payment in full is required at the time of registration so have your credit card ready.
Everyone MUST provide a valid email address to receive their individual link to attend the conference. Approximately one week prior to the conference attendees will receive an individual log in link, directions to create your professional profile, plus instructions to test your device for appropriate bandwidth.
You will log in at the designated start time for the event you wish to attend. Check the daily schedule often.
Where can I find the schedule for #APRA20Virtual?
Can I share the link to view sessions?
No. The link you receive will allow access for only one device at a time. However, you can switch devices by first logging out then log back in on the alternate device. You can view all sessions from several devices including computer, laptop, iPad, or smartphone.
Will the length of sessions change for #APRA20Virtual?
Most #APRA20Virtual sessions will be 1 hour and 15 minutes in length to comply with CEU regulations. Some shorter 20-30 minute speed sessions may also be available.
