The annual SPARK Conference creates a unique opportunity for industry professionals to connect, engage and mentor current students, volunteers, interns, and staff who already demonstrate a commitment to their future profession.
During the SPARK experience, students learn from seasoned professionals and explore opportunities in their field of interest as well as areas they may be less familiar with. Through discovery, they learn the art of networking, time/resource management and the challenges they may face with real-world application.
Several levels of mentorship are built into the program. High school students are directly paired with college students to experience the conference activities and sessions. In addition, the students find themselves organically networking with professionals in attendance for a deeper level of engagement and connection to the industry.
Arizona cities/towns and businesses that support the field of Parks and Recreation are invited to attend the SPARK Networking Lunch to meet the up-and-coming talent, conduct interviews and find their next dynamic hire, in a more relaxed vs. traditional setting.
