Several recent studies have suggested that getting outdoors is essential for the physical and emotional well-being of children- and adults! Come learn about the different recreational and educational opportunities available in Arizona’s 22 National Park Service sites and their available resources!

Attendees will become aware of the different opportunities and resources available in Arizona’s 22 different National Park Service sites and participate in a sample activity that is useful in facilitating a connection with nature.

Program/ Learning Objectives:

1.      Attendees will learn about the different things to do at Arizona's National Park Service sites (i.e. hiking, biking, camping, bird watching, etc.) and how to find that information

2.      Attendees will be able to identify the National Park Service site closest to them and how to contact them

3.      Attendees will become aware of the different resources Tonto National Monument has to offer

4.      Attendees will participate in a sample activity that is useful in facilitating a connection with nature
