Hello friends and partners!
We’re excited to announce our first event of 2019 – the CAZCA Speaker Series: Globe Chamomile the Looming Invasive. Our guest will be John Scheuring, Conservation Chair of the Arizona Native Plant Society – Tucson who will share his knowledge, experiences and the challenges our colleagues have faced in dealing with Globe Chamomile (Oncosiphon piluliferum) a non-native, invasive plant already declared a noxious weed in CA.
The talk and Q&A will be held at the Desert Botanical Garden – Whiteman Conference Room on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 12:30pm. Have you seen it at your park or a preserve near you? Bring questions, challenges, or ideas to discuss possible solutions or treatment options. Attached you will find a plant fact sheet with images and helpful information regarding this non-native species.
If you’d like to attend, RSVP here: http://bit.ly/CAZCASp1. Share this important talk with other land managers, colleagues, and researchers as we do our best to bring awareness to a potentially dangerous invasive in our region!
Thank you all!
