Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course - June 2021

The National Recreation and Park Association offers the industry-leading certification program in playground safety, the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification program. The CPSI certification program provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date training on playground safety issues including hazard identification, equipment specifications, surfacing requirements and risk management methods.

STEP 1: CPSI Online Prep Course

STEP 2: Live Virtual Instruction

June 16, 2021 8:00am - 12:00pm

STEP 3: CPSI Exam

Participants will receive separate emails from NRPA for each step indicated above; therefore, 

Schedule exam (both have strict requirements to follow)

Testing Facility: on-site | computer based 

Remote: home or office | computer based - camera/mic required 

Access to schedule expires within 90 days

• To safeguard privacy and ensure all information is communicated directly to the registered candidate, each email address provided must be specific to each registered candidate. Please do not use an info, general or admin email address.  
• Details about accessing the virtual study and testing links via the virtual platform will be sent to the e-mail address used to register for the event.
• Only one registration per email address is permitted.

• Beginning August 2020 all event registrations must be paid in full with a credit card at the time of registration. Any registration without a valid method of payment at time of registration is considered incomplete and will be automatically removed from the event.

EXAM OPTIONS

Candidates now have two options for taking the exam

1. Computer-Based exam at a PSI testing facility
2. Computer-Based exam from your home/office, proctored remotely by PSI staff 

• In either setting, exam results are presented on screen upon completion of the exam
• Detailed information regarding testing will be provided via email

Important Information: 

• Registration deadline: 30th day prior to course start date
• Refund Request deadline: 45th day prior to course start date
• Registration Changes/Transfer Request deadline: 45th day prior to the course start date; submit in writing to admin@azpra.org
• Cancelation Request deadline: 90th day prior to course start date; submit in writing to admin@azpra.org
• Refunds will not be processed after the deadlines indicated above
• Registration changes/transfers cannot be made after the date indicated above
• No shows and last minute cancellations forfeit all paid registrations and/or are responsible for full payment of registration.  APRA is required to provide a guaranteed number of participants in advance and must adhere to national deadlines.
