CONNECT | EDUCATE | INSPIRE
facilitated by: Annie Frisoli
Monday, May 24th 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Community can be defined as the experience of connection and membership between individuals within a group. Park and recreation professionals, more than most other professions, create community EVERY DAY and the APRA TEAMS has great potential to build a strong sense of community across the state of Arizona.
TEAM Leaders who engage in this session, will have the opportunity to gain knowledge on the founding principles of community, to increase their knowledge on core research concepts related to community, and discuss inclusive practices to ultimately develop their own strategies to build their TEAM community.
Participants will ultimately define each of their TEAM Communities, develop what value their TEAM community will bring to its members, and assess the seven principles of community for their TEAM (membership, rituals, initiation, space, stories, symbols, and inner rings).
Attendees: APRA Board Members and TEAM Leaders only
