Basketball Bonanza is BACK! This year, we would like to invite you to be a part of the “Basketball Bonanza” program. The program is co-sponsored by the Phoenix Suns and the APRA Sports and Aquatics Branch. Please join us for a Kick Off Event and US Airways Stadium Tour (.1 CEUs) on December 13th at 6:00 PM.

“Basketball Bonanza” is a one-day special event sponsored by local parks and recreation departments and youth sports agencies consisting of a Hot-Shot Competition and a Three-Point Shootout. The program is open to boys and girls in grades 3rd-8th, and divided up into three divisions in each of the two skill contests. Up to 12 kids (first-place winners for boys and girls in each of the grade divisions for each of the skill contests) from each local competition can advance to the state finals held at the U.S. Airways Center.

All local competitions must be held December 1, 2012 – March 1, 2013. The state finals will most likely be held in either March 2013 or April 2013 at the U.S. Airways Center. If your agency would like to participate, please complete the enclosed commitment form and return it by the specified due date to David Segal via email or fax.
