Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Book Signing and Reading by Local Author in the Dottie Gilbert Reading Room
Conrad J. Storad is the award-winning author of more than 40 science and nature books for children and young readers. He has lived and worked in Arizona since 1982 and many of his books reflect his love of the Sonoran Desert and his fascination with the region’s rugged animals and plants.
During his long career as a science writer, editor, and author, Storad has won hundreds of regional, national, and international awards for his writing and editing. His newest books include Arizona Way Out West & Wacky and Arizona Way Out West & Witty - fun history and activity books written for young readers, which he co-authored with Linda Exley. In 2012, the Arizona State Library honored AZ Witty with the “One Book Arizona for Kids” award.
As development changes the face of the valley, it is important that we act now to protect the wildlife, recreation opportunities, clean air and water that our open spaces provide.
