Lunch & Tour:
Fort Tuthill County Park is a 413 acre regional park that is the "signature" park for the Coconino County Parks and Recreation Department (CCPR). Located just 3 miles south of the City of Flagstaff, this historic facility is well positioned to achieve its vision of a "premier year round recreation destination". Over the past three years several public/private partnerships have resulted not only in the provision of unique recreational experiences to citizens and visitors, but significant direct revenues to CCPR, more than $1M in capital improvements at no cost to the taxpayer, and $10.5M in economic impact to Flagstaff and the northern Arizona region.
Judy Weiss, CPRE, Parks and Recreation Director for Coconino County will discuss these partnerships, how they were achieved, the immediate implementation of the vision for Fort Tuthill, and will lead a tour of the Fort Tuthill facility.
For members, the Lunch & Tour rate is $10 per person and $28 to join us at Flagstaff Extreme. There will also be a non-member rate for the Extreme Course. Please note that participants should definitely check out www.flagstaffextreme.com before signing up for that portion of the day - it is definitely not for those afraid of heights.
Thank you to Coconino County and Flagstaff Extreme for getting us this great deal.
