The SPARK Conference is a one-day student planned professional development event in partnership with the Arizona State University Parks and Recreation Student Association (PRSA), and the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association (APRA).

The SPARK experience provides a unique platform for college students, young professionals and seasoned experts to collaborate on industry specific content and serves to “SPARK” interests, ideas, and connections between students and professionals in the field.

Exciting twists have been included in the conference lineup this year. SPARK is proud to announce the inclusion of area high school students looking to experience a new field of interest or study. High school students will be paired with a college student to experience teambuilding activities, education speed-sessions, case study challenges and mentoring opportunities throughout the day.

Students should be prepared for a lunch session infused with networking opportunities! Not only will they socialize with industry professionals in a casual mentoring/relationship-building setting, they will also be joined by valley-wide city/town agency and organization recruiters, in search of candidates to fill current and future positions tied to the P&R industry. Students should be prepared for conversations relating to these opportunities, but in a relaxed vs. traditional sense.
